What I'm Wearing #2

For this week's assignment, I decided to try and wear my favorite clothing item (my sweater vest) in three different ways. Since I'm not that creative with style and that sort of thing yet, I asked my friend Phebe (one of the most stylish people I know) to help me out. She's also the one who assisted me in taking the pictures. Though she helped me out a lot on this one, I figure that eventually I'll be proficient enough to figure it out on my own.

This is the first outfit we (but mostly Phebe) came up with. It's not something I would normally try, since I'm extremely wary of my ability to match different patterns, but I think it turned out pretty well. I definitely want to be able to improve my pattern coordinating abilities and attempt more of this stuff in the future.

This is something I'm more used to wearing. Matching a sweater vest with a solid dress shirt and khakis is an outfit I've been able to pull of numerous times in the past. However, I'd like to learn to expand beyond this limited way of wearing a sweater vest. Phebe thought the argyle socks would be a nice little touch.

Man, I really love this suit. My brother helped me pick it out, and it just fits so well. Plus I'm told that gray is a trendy suit color (something I'll take their word for). I also really like matching a sweater vest with a tie. Ties are sweet.

What I'm Wearing #1

Well, this is what I'm wearing today.

My friend Mukund decided to take it from the side for some reason.

I'm wearing my only somewhat nice pair of jeans but they pretty much all look the same anyway. Underneath the red sweater (a gift from my momma) is a light blue and white polo striped shirt. When the weather is cool enough, I really like to pair polo shirts with different sweaters and try out different color combinations.

Stuff I think is cool:

I really like these gray argyle sweater vests. Plus the guy in the middle has a really sweet red and white striped tie. This is a groomsmen attire idea from "The Knot."
